My love for antiques and early objects began long before I ever thought of them as a business. I grew up surrounded by them.
When I was a young child, our home was filled with unusual and early things. My mother decorated our house with furniture and objects she found in second-hand shops, used furniture stores, and antique shops. We didn’t have the money to buy new things, but even if we had, I suspect she would have chosen the old ones anyway. She was drawn to objects with character, history, and soul—and without realizing it at the time, she passed that appreciation on to me.
You could say it was in my blood from the beginning.
By my mid-twenties I began actively collecting and buying antiques myself, and soon after I went into business with my mother. Together we traveled, searched, and bought all kinds of decorative and unusual objects. Our shared passion turned into a life spent discovering and placing beautiful things into the homes of people who loved them as much as we did.
After my mother passed away, I continued the business on my own. Over the years I sold antiques across the country, doing shows and working with collectors of all kinds—from everyday people furnishing their homes with character and warmth to well-known personalities who share the same passion for great objects. The range of things I handled stretched widely, from 17th-century antiques to modern art.
But my true passion has always been folk art.
I have always been drawn to the creativity of ordinary people—untrained makers who created objects for their homes, their families, and their daily lives. These pieces were not made to impress galleries or museums. They were made because someone needed them, or simply because someone enjoyed making them. That honesty and spirit is what makes folk art so powerful.
Today I continue searching for these remarkable objects—pieces with history, personality, and soul—and bringing them to collectors and homes that will appreciate them.
My hope is simple: that you find something here you truly love and welcome into your home, where its story can continue.
