$250.00 USD

Carved wooden head with expressive polychrome-painted features and original inset glass eyes, retaining a hinged, movable lower jaw operated by an interior cord mechanism. The figure wears a stylized red-painted headdress with pierced attachments and remnants of original cords, consistent with Asian folk-theatre traditions of the Qing Dynasty / Meiji-era period. Original surface throughout with strong patina, scattered paint loss, and wear consistent with age and repeated performance use.
