Simpson Spring Company Embossed Spring Water Bottle
South Easton, Massachusetts, circa 1915–1920

A classic New England embossed spring water bottle produced by the historic Simpson Spring Company of South Easton, Massachusetts, one of America’s oldest continuously operating spring water companies. Blown in attractive pale aqua glass with a graceful tapered form, the bottle features bold embossed lettering reading “THIS BOTTLE REGISTERED” above the company’s distinctive circular “S” trademark, surrounded by “SIMPSON SPRING CO.” The lower body is further embossed “TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” and “SO. EASTON, MASS.”, reflecting the company’s pride in its registered brand during the early twentieth century.

Dating to approximately 1915–1920, this handsome bottle represents the era when bottled spring water was delivered throughout eastern Massachusetts in sturdy returnable containers. The crisp embossing, rich aqua color, numerous tiny seed bubbles, and substantial weight give the bottle outstanding shelf presence and unmistakable period character.

An excellent example of early twentieth-century Massachusetts advertising glass, combining regional history, attractive design, and strong collector appeal. Equally at home in collections of antique bottles, New England advertising, country store memorabilia, or Americana.

Condition: Very good original condition with crisp embossing, pleasing pale aqua color, and honest light wear consistent with age and use. A clean, well-preserved example displaying beautifully.
