Tall, finely carved walnut easel frame of arched form, richly pierced and detailed throughout with high-relief foliate scrollwork, flowering vines, and paired songbirds beneath a stylized rising-sun crest. Executed with crisp knife work and fine chip-carved shading, retaining its original dark patina and easel support. An unusually large and well-preserved example of late 19th-century Swiss Black Forest carving, displaying exceptional depth, symmetry, and sculptural presence.
