Hand-carved and polychrome-painted softwood figural tiger (“tigre”) with boldly striped body and tail, carved head with pronounced cheek pads, incised facial details, and painted green, red, and black collar band. The body carved from a single block with hand-tooled underside, four separately carved legs set into mortised sockets, and a long separately pegged tail with original paint. Retains its full period surface with wavy back striping, vertical body and leg striping, and layered eye detailing in red, green, and black.
